This weekend Edinburgh Watch Company will be returning to Ignition Festival of Motoring at the SECC and we’re really looking forward to it.
Ignition is a real celebration of all things motoring, if you’re passionate motorbikes, cars, trucks, go karts or anything with an engine, this is the event for you. The event is aimed at all ages and is a fantastic day out for the whole family.
As part of Ignition Festival of Motoring a special, purpose built road circuit is constructed around the SECC, giving you a great chance to get up close and really experience some of the fastest and rarest cars in the world. Last year you could expect to see anything from legendary rally cars to the latest and greatest Formula 1 cars, classic cars to super cars and everything in between. This year it’s expected to be even bigger and better. More cars, more bikes, more stunts, more viewing areas and a brand new family friendly interactive driving area.
Something else to look forward to is legends Ari Vatanen, Markku Alen, Miki Biasion, Timo Salonen and Stig Blomqvist will be bringing their championship winning cars to the streets of Glasgow for an unforgettable rally spectacle, with more drivers still to be announced.
If all this isn’t enough for you then maybe the brand new outdoor ride and drive zone, off road driving experiences, test drives, young driver experiences and electric motocross bikes will be.
If you’d rather stay inside there’s still plenty to be done; Have a go at Remote Control drifting, virtual reality, simulators, gaming areas, remote control truck racing and more.
