Hello
Last night I attended the annual WeDo scotland awards dinner for this community of business entrepreneurs.
I was honoured to be nominated by the WeDo Scotland exec team for a High Business Growth award and through various applications, video submissions and a panel interview I progressed through to the final.
This year the exec team opened up applications from non-members so competition was varied and tough!
I attended the dinner with family, friends and customers and we had an excellent evening. It was a nail biting wait to hear who the winner was but unfortunately on this occasion I was beaten by another very worthy entrepreneur however it was a great experience.
Many of you reading this post will be customers of my company and I would add that the success of EWC would not have happened without your support and loyalty and I sincerely thank you for that.
My highlight of the evening was however the successful auction of a Scotland team signed rugby ball and EWC voucher that we donated. The charity for the evening was Sands Lothian who are small but critical organisation supporting bereaved parents who have very sadly lost a child through a miscarriage or stillbirth.
The rugby ball auction prize raised a fantastic £800 and even better the lucky bidder agreed with me to donate the ball to a future charity auction to raise more money for a great cause.
All told we raised a significant amount and fun was had by all!
Jonathan
