As a new event to our calendar this year we are delighted to have been invited to showcase our latest collection at the Highland Field Sports Fair or locally known as the Moy Fair.
This annual country show is based on the Moy Estate which is around 10 miles south of Inverness.
It spans over Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd August with gates opening at 10am
From around 11.00 am each day, there is a full range of activities and displays within the Main Ring – Pipe Bands, a spectacular Birds of Prey demonstration, Tug of War, Gundog and Fishing demonstrations, pets parade, Foxhounds and Terrier racing are among some of the highlights on offer. Add to this the appearance of Dalriada Highland, who will be demonstrating a mock up of a stalk on a deer on a remote hillside.
Elsewhere throughout the Fair, you can enjoy all sorts of field sports activities – come along and enjoy the Clay Pigeon Shooting, Musket Shooting, Air Rifles, Catapults and Archery. Even if you have not tried any of these enjoyable activities before, there are vastly experienced staff on hand who will ensure you will enjoy taking part in some of these exciting activities. There are also the Gundog tests which are always a great spectacle to watch or why not enter your dog into the scurry tests – everyone enjoys this including the dogs and finally why not take yourself down to the shores of the Loch and enjoy some of the fishing pursuits in Anglers Corner.
There is also plenty going on for children – Pony Rides, Bouncy Castle, Climbing Wall, interactive Craft event, Bubbles the Clown and other activities to keep the children happy as well as the Children’s Crèche which offers a range of entertainment.
There is an abundance of stalls selling the best of Scottish produce and there could be anything from traditional fare such as Venison to Arbroath Smokies, or you could purchase a Scottish made dog harness or walking stick.
