Hello
We have been on our travels again!
Last Saturday I was invited to join our friends Tartan Tarmac at the Erskine Classic Car show.
Located just out of Glasgow in a town called Bishopton the event took place at the luxurious Ingliston Country Club. This is primarily an equestrian centre and as a result had a fantastic indoor arena that was perfect to accommodate plenty of horsepower…but without the dung!
This is the second time the event has run. It was established by the team from the Erskine Charity and supported by Tartan Tarmac to raise valuable funds towards their £9m annual target.
Tartan Tarmac is built up of a community of motoring enthusiasts that are active via the internet and through regular physical meetings in central Scotland. With their support they rallied up lots of great people who agreed to bring along their beautiful cars all in aid of a great cause.
EWC were displaying a selection of fine watches for visitors to enjoy. We certainly had a busy day with over 100 visitors stopping by for a chat and the chance to try on various watches that caught their eye! We heard that they sold over 5000 tickets so definitely another successful event.
If you are in central Scotland and are a motoring enthusiast then please come and join a Tartan Tarmac meeting. They meet from around 09.30- 12.30 on the last Sunday of each month just behind Dakota Glasgow. Here you will see a vast array of sportscars, meet and share a passion with the owners and get a great breakfast too. Plenty of watch chat too!
Here are some snaps from the day. Please click on the “EWC at the Erskine Classic Car Show which is highlighted in orange
Have a good week.
