    Here we have another mint 2010 sports Submariner Date, a watch that is now very difficult to get in Rolex stores.

    This is an example of an early model in the revised 40mm Maxi-Case design that features the flat blue dial more commonly seen on the 18ct white gold version. As a result it has become quite collectible and it’s the first one we have seen for some time.

    As we list this watch today (27.10.21) it is going through it’s final testing stage having just had a full service. This involved removing, stripping and rebuilding the movement and replacing any parts required. While this was happening our polishing specialist has gently polished the case and bracelet to give the watch a back to new look. Once done the watch is tested over a period of days to ensure it meets the accuracy set by COSC to achieve the Chronometer standard of -4/+6 seconds per day. And finally…. for your peace of mind it now has two year mechanical warranty so just a perfect pre-owned EWC watch!

    The bi-metal submariner is a great selling sports watch for Rolex due to its combination of steel and gold througout the watch. Practically it has the new Cerachrom ceramic bezel which is very strong and gives a new look to the watch.

    The bracelet uses Rolex’s new Glidelock system which enables easy adjustment without the need for any tools e.g Summer holidays when your wrist expands in the heat (only occasionally in Scotland!)

    Legibility is enhanced with the Maxi Dot dial which is a distinct improvement on the classic submariners and this is now common across the sports models.
