Here we have another mint 2012 sports Submariner Date, a watch that is now very difficult to get in Rolex stores.

This is an example of an early model in the revised 40mm Maxi-Case design that features the flat blue dial more commonly seen on the 18ct white gold version. As a result it has become quite collectible and it’s the first one we have seen for some time.

The bi-metal submariner is a great selling sports watch for Rolex due to its combination of steel and gold througout the watch. Practically it has the new Cerachrom ceramic bezel which is very strong and gives a new look to the watch.

The bracelet uses Rolex’s new Glidelock system which enables easy adjustment without the need for any tools e.g Summer holidays when your wrist expands in the heat (only occasionally in Scotland!)

Legibility is enhanced with the Maxi Dot dial which is a distinct improvement on the classic submariners and this is now common across the sports models.

With just one owner from new, complete with all original Rolex boxes, hang tags, warranty card etc it is a perfect example of this classic sports Rolex.
