I am delighted to announce that Edinburgh Watch Company have become a new sponsor with track day specialist Destination Nurburgring.
This has been some time in planning and is built on a passion held by myself and our customers for sports cars and fine watches.
Destination Nurburgring was established by it’s owner Darren Langeveld following a trip with fellow petrolhead to the famous Nurburgring in 2004. That trip planted a seed with Darren to provide a specialist private track day package that would allow enthusiasts a unique experience to drive their own or perhaps a track prepared race car around the demanding 20.8km circuit.
So in 2010 Destination Nurburgring was born and now in his 9th year has become the leading company in his field. Darren’s experience extends beyond running this great company to coaching racing drivers and privateers as a qualified ARDS instructor across multiple international circuits.
As a company we carefully choose who we partner with or sponsor based on what see of their customer experience. I had the pleasure of joining their track day in 2015 in a Mini Cooper S which while slightly under powered was great fun. Any events success is based on meticulous planning which in the case of a track day focusses heavily on safety and security and my own experience was first class! You may be thinking why would EWC sponsor a track day company operating in Germany when we are based in Edinburgh. Each year I look ahead and consider how we can build the EWC brand and historically we have a large number of customers, ladies and gentleman, that simply love luxury watches and sports cars so it felt like a great synergy between Darren’s business and EWC that I am really enjoying looking forward to working with. For Darren and his DN customers EWC offers a curated collection of luxury Swiss watches with a personalised service.
I will be joining the event on 20th May where we look forward to meeting many of the DN customers and sharing our mutual passion for watches and sports cars.

Accompany an experienced racing driver through the 20.832 kilometres of the Green Hell in the “Beast of the Green Hell”, the superb Mercedes AMG GTR, and experience “speed” in a completely different perspective.
This breathtaking journey will give you that authentic racing-driver feeling. But beware, this adrenaline kick can be addictive!
*Taxi laps go very quickly around in a big circle only. You will finish at the track, where you started. There is no option to take these taxis to the supermarket, vets, your mother’s house or anywhere else.

A private two day** driving event on the Nordschleife for cars only.
A maximum of 120 participants with personalised briefings and hospitality included, the fourth Ringmeisters ‘Prime’ track day event has proven hugely popular with discerning Nürburgring drivers who simply want the best track time available. Low numbers, maximum track time, minimum risk.
Additional drivers/passengers
Can be registered on this event at a cost of £100/£75 respectively.
Exclusive Track Walk
We’re very pleased to be able to offer the chance to take a guided tour of the circuit on our tour bus, stopping off to walk key sections of the Nordschleife. Experience the track like never before and benefit from expert advice. A great photo opportunity!
The bus leaves from the TF car park at 19.30 and lasts for approximately 1 hour – finishing at approximately 20.30.
You do not need to be a participant on the track day to book this track walk – join us!

We are also offering high speed professional taxi lap experiences on this event, sat alongside professional, licenced drivers in a range of high performance cars.
