This is a pristine one owner example of the now discontinued 40mm Rolex Submariner and comes complete with papers dated 2017
The Submariner needs no introduction as it is one of the most iconic and desirable models in the range.
Introduced around 2010 this model included a number of enhancements over the classic 16610 Submariner. Most notably was the new ceramic bezel, this feature was designed to resist the light scratches and dents you’d potentially get on the aluminium bezel.
The design of the case changed to with the launch of the Maxi case which included wider lugs that give it a very comfortable fit to the wrist. The bracelet was next and built on the popular oyster design but now including their Glidelock function that allows you to easily micro adjust the size of the bracelet as required. The bracelet links are now all solid and as a result it has a more substantial feel to it.
The black dial has that classic Submariner look however each of the hour markers are now larger which increases the eligibility for night time reading.
Powering the watch is an automatic chronometer movement giving you an accuracy of between -4/+6 seconds per day and a useful power reserve of around 48 hours.
For those wishing to take it swimming, diving or perhaps just in the shower well that’s not a problem as it has a depth rating of 1000 ft.
So overall a cracking sports watch that’s perfect for all occasions.
