When it comes to deciding what Rolex to go for there is a lot to consider, most importantly it has to be right for you. We’ve prepared this short blog and a video to really help you get a feel for each one and get an understanding of the differences. Whether you are buying a sports watch for yourself or for a loved one you need to make sure it ticks the all the boxes. For example; what are the differences between a GMT Master and a Submariner? What makes a Daytona so special? Please read on for more.

Why Rolex?

As an all round watch a stainless steel sports Rolex really makes sense. It can be worn on all occasions whether with a dinner suit or just relaxing on the beach wearing your favourite t-shirt.

As a premium manufacturer, Rolex have a long history of building beautiful, expertly engineered timepieces .Each one is powered by an automatic chronometer movement, ensuring high levels of accuracy, fully waterproof and made in 904L grade stainless steel to ensure longevity that can be passed on to the next generation.

The majority of the sports range have a 40mm case which are perfectly suited for either a lady or gentleman to wear, the oyster bracelet whether it has an easylink or the glide lock clasp making micro adjustment so easy.

When considering the purchase of a luxury watch as an investment, it is hard to beat a Rolex for its long-term residual value and in our experience outperforms most other manufacturers and also other models within the Rolex range. Each of our watches are supplied with a minimum of 12 months mechanical warranty, giving you peace of mind and our unworn watches have the balance of the Rolex international 5 year warranty which will benefit you today and a future owner should you consider selling it within the warranty period.

Aside from the financials and the warranty, we find our customers buy through a balance of hearts and minds and the feeling of wearing a sports Rolex is hard to beat and it is why we sell more sports Rolexes than any other watch in our collection.

What options are there?

Daytona

Our video review takes a look at our current collection, spanning the highly desirable Daytona Cosmograph with such strong links to the world of motorsport and famously worn by Paul Newman.

GMT Master II

The GMT Master was designed by Rolex for travelers and pilots with their dual time zone, these models have evolved through  time and now include the latest ceramic bezel to give them a fresh look.

Explorer II

You may however prefer the understated look of the Rolex Explorer II with its new 42mm case and famously worn in the 1970’s by Steve McQueen. The familiar orange hand that contrasts so beautifully against the polar white or black dial also doubles as a dual time zone, a handy feature for our jet-setting customers.

Submariner

Here we have the ever popular and iconic Rolex Submariner Date in its latest guise with a ceramic dial, new glide lock bracelet and widened case lugs, this is rarely seen in shops today, however we are very pleased to offer an unworn 2017 model from stock. If there’s one watch for all occasions perhaps like 007 this may be the one for you.

Sea-Dweller

The ultra-resistant divers’ models engineered by Rolex for the conquest of the deep. Waterproof to a depth of 4000ft the Rolex Sea-Dweller is a result of decades of collaboration with diving professionals. This is the Basel 2017 Anniversary model celebrating 50 years production of the Sea-Dweller and introduces some exciting changes including a new 43mm case, cyclops magnification for the date and the all important red writing on the dial. It is unknown whether this will be a limited production model and should this stop this will be a fantastic investment as historically single red Submariners and double red Sea-Dwellers now range between £10,000- £100,000.
