Blair Atholl Horse Trials 23rd-26th August

Hello

For our equestrian enthusiasts we wanted to let you know that later this week Blair Castle will hold the annual Horse Trials. We will be exhibiting there and hope to see you if you attend.

Eventing

Scottish Grass Roots… From Wednesday 22nd to Thursday 23rd August we will host the British Eventing Scottish BE90 and BE100 Championships.

Eventing…Blair Castle is hosting again the CCI1*, CCI2*, CCI3* and CIC3* competitions and also the 6th and Final Leg of the Event Rider Masters.

The move to Blair Castle will provide Scotland’s grassroots competitors with the opportunity to join international athletes competing at Scotland’s most prestigious equestrian event.

This is very much a premier event and is categorised as an international event attracting the top riders from across the world. The trials spans over four days and there is lots to see and enjoy for all the family even if all things horses are not your scene.

The Bruadar Country Fair includes pig racing, terrier racing, a quack commando and a selection of vintage tractors on display.

For the shop-a-holics there are over 200 trade stands in the Shopping Village offering something for all tastes and budgets: bespoke jewellery, fine art, luxury watches, country and casual clothing, everything you could possibly want for horses or hounds, horseboxes, 4x4s… the list is endless. A large food hall has plenty to tempt the tastebuds, including handmade chocolates, organic meat, fine wines, cheeses and more.

For the more energetic perhaps walking the course would be of interest…so to make the most of your visit to Blair Castle they will be holding a cross country course walks by a leading rider or trainer!

Walk one of the Cross Country Track at this year’s Blair Castle International Horse Trials with the pros: learn how they view the fences, how they walk the distances, walk the lines they plan to ride, and find out if they foresee any tricky moments!

Four top event riders will generously support our charity by leading the course walk. Previous riders leading the course walk have been William Fox-Pitt, Mark Todd, Mary King and Chris Burton to name just a few.

Hope to see you there!
